Lu Zhenhong’s first exposure to martial arts was wushu. Learning the wushu at a young age, he developed a competitive streak and would push himself to his limits whenever he entered a tournament. He transitioned to MMA after his friends introduced him to it at a gym. Finding MMA more challenging than wushu, he also started professionally competing in the sport to prove to himself he can not only master the different styles in MMA but can also win the MMA matches he participates in.
Lu’s personal hero is boxing legend, Manny Pacquiao, of the Philippines and he constantly studies Pacquiao punching combinations, footwork and body movement so that he can aim for a memorable knockout when he fights.
